Saudosa is a house of jewellery born from saudade; the Portuguese word for a longing that endures.

The house was founded on a tension between worlds: nature and modernity, instinct and structure, the places we inhabit and the places that continue to inhabit us.

Each piece begins with an organic reference. A texture found in the body. A form drawn from the natural world. A memory of the tropics. These elements are distilled into sculptural silhouettes and softened gold surfaces, refined without losing the trace of where they came from.

The result is jewellery of quiet contrast: sensual yet structured, grounded yet elevated, familiar yet difficult to place. Designed to move between city and coast, intimacy and occasion, each piece is made not simply to adorn the body, but to remain close to it.

Behind the house is Layla Larissa. Raised between Brazil and the Netherlands, she grew up between cultures, climates, and ways of living. With that came a lifelong instinct to adapt and an equally persistent pull toward something more rooted. Toward warmth. Nature. Sensuality. The landscapes of her Brazilian inheritance. Unable to find jewellery that held both sides of her world, she began creating it herself. Organic forms were given structure. The tropics were translated for the city. Longing became something that could be worn.

Founded independently in 2026, Saudosa is the house that emerged from that search.
